We would like to thank former LAC Chair, John Morris, for his hours of dedication to the LAC. His endeavors greatly furthered the progress of the committe and their work in improving Utah communities.

We welcome LaMond Woods as the new LAC Chair and present a brief biography:

LaMond has over 20 years experience as an insurance provider and risk transfer specialist. He is a top producer and Senior Partner at SentryWest Insurance Services, specializing in risk management for: community associations, contractors, developers, businesses and high net-worth clients. As a member of the Community Association Institute Legislative Action Committee LaMond worked directly with the drafters and legislators on the language for SB167, the bill that recently became law and dramatically improved the insurance scheme for community associations in Utah.

He has spent years educating Community Managers, Attorneys, and Community Association volunteer leaders about insurance and risk management. He has always sought out and implemented innovative ideas to more efficiently and economically provide insurance to his clients. More recently, he has devoted considerable time educating attorneys and community association managers on the new insurance laws applicable to community associations.

Prior to becoming chairman of the Legislative Action Committee he served as the fund raising committee chair. LaMond has previously served as a board member for Q Comm International. At the time Q Comm was a publicly traded Telecommunications company. He has also served as a board member for a resort condominium in Park City, Utah.
